Welcome to the materials for the course Probabilistic Combinatorics at Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology.
Throughout this course, we will study and prove selected results from the book The Probabilistic Method by Noga Alon and Joel H. Spencer.

For CS Students
To successfully complete the Topics in Advanced Combinatorics course, you must pass a closed-book examination during the zachet week.
During the examination, you will be randomly assigned three theorems from the course material. You must correctly state and prove at least two of these three theorems to receive a passing grade.
For MSc Students of the “Advanced Combinatorics” Program
The final assessment for this course will consist of a closed-book examination held in January.
During the examination, you will be given four theorems of varying difficulty to prove. Each theorem will be assigned a maximum number of points according to its difficulty. Your final grade, on a scale from 0 to 10, will be determined by the total number of points you earn.
Important: To be eligible to take the January examination, you must successfully defend Homework 1 by December 11. Completing this requirement is mandatory for admission to the exam.
